Thanks for purchasing DracoTek android dual sim phone.
Some customer mentioned they have tip on “IMEI invalid”, this is a common bug of Chinese MTK chipset based android smartphone. If the smartphone is restoring factory setting (in menu-setting-privacy-factory data reset), all the data will be erased including the IMEI number, which is a must of phone for calling and SMS.
Thanks for a Russian customer’s test and advice, below we list a simple method to re-write your IMEI on your android smartphone, VERY SIMPLE 2 COMMAND and 100% working.
1. Press *#06# on dial menu, to check your IMEI: (this is your phone’s current IMEI)
2. If you have IMEI invalid tip, pls write down the 2 IMEI number printed on your phone’s battery slot, or the valid IMEI you have got, write them down.
3. Search on Android Market “android Terminal Emulator”, download it and install.
4. Open the emulator, and input below 2 command and enter:
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,7,"IMEI_1"' >/dev/pttycmd1
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,10,"IMEI_2"' >/dev/pttycmd1
NOTE:
a. After echo there is blank input, as well as before > there is blank input as well.
b. Every key inputted must be correct.
c. You will have $ after you input correct 2 command, and then reboot your phone, that is all, you will have your new IMEI!
